Hi! My name is Emily, and I created Great Woof Lodge LLC to give pet parents peace of mind. If you need loving, dependable dog boarding in White Lake, MI, you’ve come to the right place. For as long as I can remember, animals have brought me endless joy, and building a safe, cozy boarding haven for local dogs fulfills a lifelong dream.

My passion for pet care began during high school while volunteering at the Michigan Humane Society. Surrounded by wagging tails and grateful eyes, I quickly discovered my true calling. Later, I joined Cleveland Kennels’ City Dogs program, where I took shelter dogs on monthly hikes and built strong connections that deepened my commitment to animal welfare.

From 2016 to 2020, I worked at Tailwaggers in Livonia, a nonprofit veterinary clinic. Assisting in the operating room during spay and neuter clinics and administering vaccinations gave me critical medical experience. That background ensures your pet stays in knowledgeable, capable hands every moment they spend with us.

I founded Great Woof Lodge to set a brand-new standard for dog boarding in White Lake, MI. My own pets inspired this labor of love: Rory (a golden retriever), Ryder (a German shepherd), and Indy (a sassy tortie cat). Every dog that stays with us becomes part of our family.
